Monica earned her degree in dental hygiene from Darton College in Albany, GA in 2001. She has been a part of the O’Shea Dentistry team since moving to Decatur in 2005. Monica enjoys helping patients meet their goals to achieve optimal oral and overall health. She has built valuable relationships with our patients and enjoys welcoming new patients into our practice. Monica is married and has two daughters. She enjoys reading, fitness, spending time outdoors, and enjoying Decatur.

Monica V., RDH — Hygienist
Monica V is from Mexico City and has lived in Georgia for most of her life. Monica is a recent Dental Hygiene graduate from Georgia State University Perimeter College. While in school, she received top honor awards, the coveted Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award and the STAR Award (Student Academic Recognition Award).
Monica comes to O'Shea with over 15 years of experience in the dental field, working for general and pediatric dentistry. Her passion and focus are to continue learning to help educate patients on the relationship between oral health and systemic health and provide the necessary tools to help them achieve optimal health. As a bilingual, she would like to use this as an advantage to give back to the community and help serve the less fortunate.
Monica is married to her high school sweetheart, Mario, who is also in an assistant here at O’Shea Dentistry. She trains at the gym, runs in Stone Mountain Park, or looks for new ideas to cook vegetarian food when not at work.
