Mario V. CDA. EFDA — Doctor’s Lead Assistant

Mario Vargas has been with O’Shea Dentistry since April 2022. Mario is fluent in both English and Spanish. Mario is another addition to the dental assistants in our practice. Mario has been in general dentistry on and off for about twenty years. Within those twenty years, two years have been in orthodontics. Mario likes to socialize with patients and treats them as if they were his friends while helping them remain calm during dental procedures. 

Mario truly loves spending time with us at O’Shea Dentistry. As you will later find out, his nickname is Happy Mario. You will often find him giggling with his peers and patients. Mario is an adventurous spirit; he loves exploring rivers, lakes, falls, and mountains in the company of his toy, “Maverick”- his off-road Jeep Wrangler. Mario also loves working out, running, and biking outdoors with the love of his life, his wife.

Dane B., RDA — Doctor’s and Ortho Assistant

Dane has been working in the dental field since he was 17 years old when he found his true calling in serving others through dental health. He's a Registered Dental Assistant and comes to us from sunny Southern California. He was most recently working with an orthodontist with a like-minded practice philosophy. Through continuing education circles, Dr. Matt and Dr. Shannon both know his previous orthodontist employer, which made for a very natural fit. Dane has clinical experience in general and pediatric dentistry and his true passion and expertise in airway and functional orthodontics through Invisalign, appliance therapy, and traditional braces. Dane relocated to Atlanta in January 2021 after an adventurous cross-country road trip, and he loves his new home in Midtown. When Dane isn't working, you can find him hiking, camping, and exploring national and state parks all over the country.

Blain D. — Doctor’s Assistant

Blain has worked with O'Shea Dentistry since 2019. Blain is the son of our Orthodontic treatment coordinator/hygienist, Karey. Blain started with us while on summer break during high school training under our retired Ola, so you know he learned from the best. Blain works as one of our sterilization technicians and is in training to be a dental assistant. Most of us have watched Blain grow up. (He has multiple moms here.) Blain will leave us one day for bigger and better things, but right now, he is incredible at keeping us safe and clean!

Katherin “Kat” S. —- Lead Sterilization Technician

Miriam “Mimi” L., CDA— Doctor’s Assistant
